The Toasted Frog

The Toasted Frog© is an eclectic, fun, inviting restaurant and lounge that has been serving downtown Grand Forks since May of 2006, and downtown Bismarck since December of 2010. With extensive martini, wine, beer, and spirits lists, The Toasted Frog has a little bit of something for everyone. Our menu is diverse, ranging from appetizers, salads and soup, to lavosh, entrees, and wood-fired pizzas. Everything is made from scratch, with an emphasis put on using the finest ingredients available. We pride ourselves on providing an experience that includes serving exemplary food and beverages, with professional, friendly service, in a laid-back, warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The Toasted Frog is located in a historic building in downtown Grand Forks, ND, along the banks of the Red River. In December 2005, Grand Forks natives Shawn Clapp and Jonathan Holth acquired the space and began creation of The Toasted Frog ©, realizing a long time dream of theirs. In December of 2010, The Toasted Frog opened the doors to its second location, also in a historic downtown building, this time in Bismarck, ND.

Executive Chef Scott Franz leads the Toasted Frog's culinary team. Franz, a Grand Forks native, has been with The Toasted Frog since day one. His creativity continues to be the driving force behind the The Toasted Frog. Chef Franz continually holds himself and his team to the highest standards when it comes to The Toasted Frog's menu development, preparation, and execution. Chef Franz's long-time sous chef, Christopher Schultz, is now the executive chef at The Toasted Frog's Bismarck location, and has brought The Toasted Frog's tradition of creativity and quality to western North Dakota.
